Social Innovation in Western Australia (SiiWA), along with Social Ventures Australia, Social Traders, Centre for Social Impact and Western Australia Council of Social Services have been selected as the capacity building partner for the WA State Governments $10 million Social Enterprise Fund – Grants Program.

On the 14th of March, 2012, Giving West hosted it's first major event for 2012: A Journey with David Gonski: Australian giving - where it's come from and where it's going in troubled times. The deadline for applications for the Graduate Certificate in Social Impact (GCSI) 2012 has been extended until Friday 20 January 2012. This course has been warmly received by industry, government and the social services sectors in 2011 and the graduating students have enthusiastically promoted the social impact learnings as “game-changing” and “immediately applicable back at work”.
