Azure Capital and Lotterywest are founding partners of Giving West. We thank them for their financial support, which with others helped us become serious about giving in Western Australia.

Azure Capital

Azure Capital has always focused on more than just the bottom line, is a strong believer in corporate citizenship and actively contributes to improving the community. In 2009, the company established The Azure Capital Foundation Limited to assist deserving community organisations. Every year, Azure Capital shareholders donate two per cent of the firm's pre-tax profits to the Foundation, while Azure Capital staff contribute through a workplace giving program. The three areas in which the Foundation distributes funding are:

• Education, with a focus on organisations that provide opportunities to underprivileged children by using education to break cycles of poverty and disadvantage.
• Community projects and organisations in which Azure staff have a significant time or personal investment.
• Other projects and organisations that fit with the Foundation's philosophy and are of particular relevance to staff and/or the community.

In addition to financial assistance, Azure Capital's staff give their time to projects supported by the Foundation.

Lotterywest

In 2010 Lotterywest provided more than $234 million for the community of Western Australia and makes a significant difference to the quality of life of all Western Australians. Lotterywest is proud to contribute to building a better Western Australia and enhancing the quality of life and well-being of all Western Australians. Each week, Lotterywest gives Western Australians a chance to live their dream by playing a range of Lottery games. All proceeds, after paying prizes and operating costs, go back to the community. Lotterywest supports thousands of community, local government and charitable organisations, sporting organisations, arts and cultural groups and the State’s health services.
